Be a Praying Mom
Scripture Text Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her! Luke 1 :45
One of life’s greatest blessing is to have a praying mother. One of the greatest gifts you can give your children is to be a praying mother.
I remember my mother’s prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life. ~Abraham Lincoln
Hannah wanted a son very badly. Hannah prayed as Peninnah kept on annoying her time after time. Hannah prayed, God I can’t take this anymore. If you give me a son I promise I’ll bring him to the temple so he can serve you full time. Just please answer my desperate plea.”
God answered her prayers, opening her barren womb, giving her a child.
One of the best gifts we can give children is the gift of prayer. You will never be a perfect parent but you can be a praying parent.
Pray! Pray! Pray! Knock! Knock! Knock!
You have a Heavenly Father who’s eager to answer. As children grow up they need our sincere prayers more than ever.
Not only prayers for physical protection, but more importantly, spiritual protection for their minds and hearts.
Most parents have many questions, fears ,worries and doubts about their child and their future.
Let’s take all our questions to God through prayer. Lay all your cares and burdens about your children at His feet. he has a beautiful plan for your children.
Hannah’s got pregnant and gave birth to Samuel the greatest prophet of all time. All that rejection and sorrows were removed. Hannah’s case teaches us to not give praying but continuing to believe in the power of the Lord Almighty.
The future may be uncertain, but God is unchanging and capable of taking care of our children.
God can take care of our children much better than we can.
