Be Content, Whatever The Circumstances

Scripture Text:……..for I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation. Philippians 4 :11

Apostle Paul says, “I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation.”

What is the secret of being content in any and every situation?

People assume contentment comes from being rich, famous and successful. People say, if I get a dream job, buy a luxury home and fancy car, I would be content.

Money will never give you happiness. If money can guarantee contentment, why do the rich people live a dissatisfied and empty life? Do you wonder why so many rich people and celebrities with such fame, money and  success commit suicide?

We all are happy when life is easy and comfortable. When life is hard and unpredictable, we can still be content.

Paul was in Roman prison when he wrote this letter. Paul was content when he faced hard times. Paul was content at all times.

Paul says in verse 12,  “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well-fed of hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.

Also Paul says in verse 13, “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”

Paul put his complete trust and focus on Christ. That is the reason for his contentment.

Now there is great gain in godliness with contentment, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.1 Timothy 6 :6-8 

Are you content regardless of the circumstances you are in today?

  • Learn to be satisfied with what God has given you for today.
  • Find your happiness in Christ

Dear friends,

Be content with what God has provided you. Most of us are not content because we always want something better and something bigger.

Like Paul let us learn to be content in sickness or in health, in abundance or in poverty, in strength or in weakness, well fed or hungry.

God has promised never to leave us and He will supply our every need.

Amidst all the circumstances, His grace is sufficient for you! Let us rejoice for our names are written in the book of Life.

Thank Him for all that He has given to you and be content.
