God Knows You

God knows You

Scripture Text– Jeremiah 1:5  “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations."

The first part of this verse applies to all of us. God says, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.” He goes on to say: “Before you were born I sanctified you.” He has set us apart – He has made us special.

God knew Jeremiah, chose Jeremiah, and appointed Jeremiah as prophet. He was known by name, hand-picked by God, and commissioned to serve.

We need to accept that our future is not our own. We are God's. He has a unique plan and purpose for our lives.

In the Gospel of Luke chapter 2, we see the Archangel Gabriel visiting Zechariah to tell him that he would become the father of John the Baptist .John was God's choice to prepare people for the arrival of the Messiah, the world's savior, Jesus Christ

God has some big plans for You. He knows you by name. He knew you before you were even born.

Judges 13 :5 The angel of the Lord appeared to Samson’s mother and said “You will become pregnant and have a son whose head is never to be touched by a razor because the boy is to be a Nazirite, dedicated to God from the womb. He will take the lead in delivering Israel from the hands of the Philistines.”God had a plan about Samson and what he would do while he was still in the womb.

Long before you were conceived by your parents, you were conceived in the mind of God.

Genesis chapter 3 the Bible tells us Rebekah became pregnant with the first twins mentioned in the Bible, Jacob and Esau. Even before they were born, Rebekah could feel the twins fighting with one another in her womb. She asked God why and the Lord told her“Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you will be separated;one people will be stronger than the other, and the older will serve the younger.”

What was true for Jeremiah, John the Baptist, Samson, Jacob and Esau is also true for you!

Today God has some mighty big plans for you and me.

We are so important in the eyes of God.

Jesus tells in Luke 12:6-7 “Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.”

  • God Knows all your strengths and weaknesses.
  • God knows your fears and tears.
  • God knows your hurt and pains.
  • God knows your failures and heartaches.

Today God is telling You, "I have carried you since you were born; I have taken care of you from your birth. Even when you are old, I will be the same. Even when your hair has turned gray, I will take care of you. I made you and will take care of you" (Isaiah 46:3-4 NCV).
