Forget Not All His Benefits
Scripture Text: Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits. Psalms 103 :2
We often forget the wonderful benefits God has provided to us. The cares, worries and disappointments of the world makes us to forget His benefits. David lists few of God’s benefits in Psalms 103.
He forgives all your sins (V3)
God forgives all our sins. The scripture says that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”. The good news is Lord forgives all our iniquities. He died on the cross and paid the price for our sins. He took upon Himself the penalty of our sins and set us free.
He heals all your diseases (V3)
What a wonderful promise! The Lord heals all your diseases. Not some of them, not most of them, but all of them.
Peter 2 :24 says, “By His stripes we are healed”
Matthew 8 :17 “He Himself took our infirmities and carried away our diseases.”
He redeems your life from the pit (V4)
He redeemed us from the pit of failure, pit of destruction, the pit of fear, pit of secret sin, depression, shame, loss, curse, sickness etc. He graciously spared our lives each time.
He crowns you with love and compassion (V4)
The Lord adorns you with His loving kindness and tender mercies. Though we are unworthy His love towards us is unending and unchanging. His mercies are new every morning.
He satisfies your desires with good things (V5)
God satisfies our deepest longings with good things. No one can satisfy us except Him.
James 1:17 says, Every good and perfect gift is from above coming down from the Father of lights.
His benefits are innumerable.
He forgives, He heals, He redeems, He crowns and He satisfies.
The man who enjoys the benefits of God is rich beyond measure, though he may possess little in this world.
We have received countless blessings and benefits from God but we forget it.
I would like to remind you this morning that while the world is changing, while the church is changing, while your life is changing, the benefits of the Lord never change! Why? Because He never changes.
Take some time to remember and thank how God has saved you, healed you, protected you, rewarded you and blessed you.
Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all His benefits.
God bless you! Have A Blessed Day !
