He Will Deliver Us Again
He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us. 2 Corinthians. 1:10.
Paul says, “We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself.” v:8
God took Paul beyond what Paul was able to handle within himself. The trouble was beyond his ability to bear and beyond his capacity to deal with it. The burden was so heavy, that he gave up all hope of living.
Sometimes the burdens of life really are more than we can bear.
Friends, even when the burdens of life exceed our ability to bear them, they never exceed His power and ability.
Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. v 9
Paul says in verse 9, “but this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God…”
God uses our troubles to make us realize we should not rely on our own strength but His. Our God is able to deliver us from any kind of trouble.
The fact is, sometimes life hurts, and sometimes it hurts really bad! When it does, we want to run away from our problems and our pain.
Problems are going to come in our lives. When they come we must run to the Lord. He will hear us and will help us.
David added, “The Lord, who delivered me from the claws of the lion and the bear, will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” “Go,” said Saul, “and may the Lord be with you.” 1 Samuel 17:37
When people say, you can never overcome the failure, you can never get healed of this deadly disease, you can never conceive a child, tell them that you serve a God who raises the dead. God is able to create something beautiful out of nothing.
The trouble you face may be beyond your ability to overcome. The pain you endure might be beyond your natural endurance to bear. Yet, do not lose hope! God who delivered Paul from the deadly peril will deliver you.
God who delivered you in the past will deliver you again this time and will continue to deliver you.
He will shower you with blessings in due time.
Enter this first day of the month believing your sorrows will end and blessed days will begin.
