I Am The Lord Who Heals You.
Scripture Text He said, “If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you.” Exodus 15 :26
Right now, the whole world is in fear as thousands of people are getting sick due to Covid19. Some people get better and some people do not. It is a reminder to each one of us of the fragility and vulnerability of our life on earth.
The Israel people murmured when they came to Marah because the water was bitter.
Their leader Moses too faced the same circumstance but what did Moses do?
Moses cried out to the Lord for help, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. Moses threw it into the water, and this made the water good to drink. Exodus 15 :25
Only God’s children can bring an end to the turmoil the world is facing now. When Moses cried out, God showed him a tree and their crisis came to an end.
As we are in isolation let us gather as a family and cry out to the Lord to heal our neighbors, our country and theworld.
God will definitely hear us and show the world the healing tree the cross. Eventually their spiritual eyes will be opened and as they look to Jesus they will be healed. One word from His mouth can calm the storm and restore peace and healing.
David says,”Have mercy on me, Lord; heal me, for I have sinned against you.” Psalms 41: 4
All of us are facing the same threat and same fear. When the worldly people murmur and grumble against God, let us all who fear the Lord be likes Moses.
Like David, let us plead to God for forgiveness of our sins and the sins of our people.
When Abraham prayed God healed Abimelech, his wife and slaves could conceive again.
Malachi 3 :6 says, “I the Lord do not change”.
Our God never changes. Jesus still does miracles. He is Jehovah Rapha.
I challenge everyone who is reading this devotion to intercede for those affected by the coronavirus outbreak and for an end to this pandemic.
