I Will Not Be Afraid What Can Man Do To Me?
Scripture Text: In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do to me? Psalms 56 :11
1 Samuel 21 :10 -12 states,“And David arouse, and fled that day for fear of Saul, and went to Achish the king of Gath. And the servants of Achish said unto him, Is not this David the king of the land? Did they not sing one to another of him in dances, saying, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands? And David laid up these words in his heart, and was sore afraid of Achish the king of Gath.”
David faced times in his life where he was afraid. In verse 13 we read, David was so afraid and he pretended to be insane and acted like a madman, making marks on the doors of the gate and letting saliva run down his beard.
There comes a point in every one’s life where we feel frightened and have nowhere to go.
David had nowhere to go but to the Lord.
In our text in Psalm 56 David says confidently, In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do to me?
God knows what is happening in your life right now. Your pain, heartaches and disappointments are not unknown to Him. When you are overwhelmed by the circumstances, He will fight for you.
You may not be able to trust your parents, children, friends, neighbors and coworkers but you can trust my God!
God never let down David, He has never let me down till this day and He will never let you down.
Yes, “If God be for me…who can be against me?”
- Trust in God
- Be fearless
Your circumstances may be challenging and annoying, but God is the same, yesterday, today and forever, and He loves you with His infinite love!
God is going to give you victory over your sickness, troubles, trials and enemies.
Your enemy may try his level best to trample and devour you. What can anyone or anything do to you when God is on your side?
Fear causes stress and cripples you from doing your daily routines. Don’t allow fear to govern your life and cripple your walk with the Lord.
Your prayers are not in vain. God will give you boldness, courage and grace to meet your circumstances.
God bless you and encourage you today in your walk with Him.
