In The Day Of Trouble, He Will Keep Me Safe
Scripture text: For in the day of trouble, he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock. Psalms 27 :6
Today people are fearful, panic-stricken and confused. Becoming frightened can be much more severe than the real effects of any disease and danger.
We do not have to react to problems the same way the world reacts. God is with us. Let us look to Him as our source and protection in the day of trouble.
David tells us that the Lord will hide him in the shelter of his sacred tent.
A king’s dwelling place was always surrounded by an army of brave soldiers. With all the host of the enemy army camped about, the king’s tent was the safest place on the battlefield. But David put his hope in Heavenly King’s shelter.
When the battles rage around us, He keeps us with His peace and joy. No enemy can penetrate the defenses and enter this private place. It is protected from the enemy! The assurance of His sheltering place allows us to weather the storms of life with hope.
David Knew God will give him the best of shelter in the worst of danger.
Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling. Psalms 91: 9-10
Don’t be afraid. God is with you in every step of your earthly journey. Every day the Lord protects us from countless accidents, diseases, disasters which we never know.
Indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
He will rescue you from hidden traps and shield you from deadly dangers. His huge outstretched arms will protect you.
Do not fear the flying arrows in the day, nor the disease that stalks through the darkness, nor the disaster that erupts at high noon.
Yes, because God’s your refuge, evil can’t get close to you, harm can’t get through the door.
God will guard your lives as a mother bird safeguards her young. God will direct his angels to watch over you and your family.
Let us be confident,
“He will keep me safe”, “He will hide me”, “He will set me high.”
No matter what goes on this perilous times, He is always with you and He will keep you safe.
Have A Blessed Day!
