Know That God Is On Your Side
Scripture text : With the Lord on my side I do not fear. Psalms 118 :6
With the Lord on my side I do not fear
Elisha’s servant was frightened when he saw the Aramean army. Elisha’s servant cried out, “Lord, what will I do now? Elisha prayed, “Oh, Lord, open his eyes, and let him see!”
God opened his eyes and he saw God’s army surrounding them.
Our God is a mighty warrior who is always there by our side. Our Lord encamps around those who fear Him. We have a great unseen army on our side. In times of trouble, He will be by our side and deliver us and honor us.
The Lord is on my side to help me
In Genesis 24, Abraham was old and nearing death. He told his servant to travel back to his hometown Canaan to find his son Isaac a wife.
The servant asked Abraham “How am I going to know if it’s the right girl”? Likewise, he was worried and asked Abraham, what if I can’t find a young woman who is willing to go back with me?’
Abraham said, “The Lord, in whose presence I have lived, will send his angel with you and will make your mission successful.” v 39
When God is by our side our impossible mission will become possible. He is always there to help and guide you in the cross roads of life and give you success.
We find this wonderful promise in the scripture “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8
God is by your side right now. He will be with you always till the end of age. He is mindful of you and will never leave or forsake you. When you are overwhelmed with fear, boldly declare, with God on my side, I will not be afraid.
It is so comforting to know that God is by our side. The sickness cannot overwhelm you, for He is by your side. The mighty waters cannot drown you, for He is by your side. We need not worry about our future, for He is by our side.
I want to encourage you today, in the midst of all scary, lonely and weary moments of life, God is by your side and holding your hand.
God Bless You! Have A Blessed Day!
