My God, My Provider
Scripture Text Genesis 22:14 “So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”
Abraham obeyed God and went to offer Isaac on Mount Moriah as a sacrifice. God provided a ram and Abraham sacrificed the ram in the place of Isaac. Then Abraham calls that place, “The Lord will provide”.
God fed the Israelite’s in the wilderness for forty years. He gave them manna from Heaven every morning. He provided them with meat. He gave water from the rock for the people and their cattle’s to drink.
In Matthew 6 :26, Jesus says, “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
God’s provision is enough to meet our physical, spiritual and emotional needs.
God who provided a ram for Abraham in his desperate final moments will provide for you today, tomorrow and always.
Mary acknowledges in Luke 1:53 “He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty.”
- God provided food for Elijah by the ravens.
- Zarephath widow gave away her last meal and God provided for her.
- God provided for Naomi and Ruth when they returned empty handed.
- God blessed the little boy’s lunch and He provided food to the multitude.
Imagine a poor boy gets adopted into a rich family and suddenly he becomes the heir to all the riches and wealth of the family. Likewise, we are the children of the creator and God’s riches are yours in Him in this life on earth and throughout eternity.
God will provide for you, fill you and bless you richly and abundantly.
He is still Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides.
Have a blessed day !
