Though He Stumble, He Will Not Fall
Scripture text: If the lord delights in a man’s way, he makes his steps firm, though he stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with His hand. Psalms 37: 24
The scripture says, ‘though he stumble’ it does not say, ‘if he stumble’ or ‘when he stumble’.
We all stumble. No one is exempt from it.
What a wonderful promise! If we stumble, we won’t fall because God will uphold us. It is like a parent walking with a toddler who is not steady. If they stumble they don’t fall because the parent holds the toddler and makes him to walk steadily again.
God is like that with us. We sin and fall into temptations in our journey of life on earth. Our Heavenly Father helps us each time we stumble.
Our steps are ordained by God. He makes our steps firm. Though we stumble we will not fall and get destroyed.
There are times where we all stumble. The enemy shoots his fiery arrows against us and plots evil schemes to ultimately destroy us. We are never alone in our battles. Our mighty God fights for us and makes us stand firm and uphold us with His hand.
Likewise we stumble when we trust people, take wrong decisions, make poor choices and lean on our own strength and give priority to our fleshly desires.
No matter how bad the circumstances are, how bad the sickness is, how worse the crisis, challenge you may be facing, it will never cause you to be destroyed or forsaken by God.
Peter stumbled and he denied Jesus three times. Yet he repented and God made him a powerful preacher of the New testament church.
Paul said, “We are struck down but not destroyed.” 2 Corinthians 4 :9
Psalms 145 :14 The Lord upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.
When Satan whispers to you, you are down and defeated, tell him , “Do not gloat over me my enemy, though I have fallen I will rise.”
Declare, I will not fall. God will uphold me.
You may have no strength to take the next step. God will give you the courage to take the next step. He will protect you from harm. He will make you soar like an eagle
His promise to you and me is that, “though we stumble we will not fall.” Yes,He will reach out His mighty hand and strengthen you, uphold you and defend you.
May you feel God’s presence with you today. He has your hand and will keep you from falling.
