You Shall Recover All
Scripture Text : So David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.” 1 Samuel 30:8 NKJV
In 1 Samuel 30 we read the story of David’s conflict with the Amalekites. When David and his men were not in Ziklag, the Amalekites took advantage of the situation and raided the city and destroyed it by fire and took captive their wives, sons and daughters.
When David and his men returned to Ziklag and found the Amalketies had taken captive their wives, sons and daughters they were shattered and wept until they had no strength left. David’s men suddenly turned against him and began to talk of stoning him.
David Inquired the Lord
In the midst of such an overwhelming situation, David found his strength in the Lord. David asked the priest to bring the ephod and he inquired the Lord

- Pursue them
- you shall surely overtake them
- You shall recover all v8

Satan might have robbed your peace, ruined your health, spoiled your relationship, damaged your finances, screwed up your opportunity, job, success, destiny and spiritual life. Satan might have destroyed your hopes of a better tomorrow.
When David felt defeated and desperate, he found his strength and encouragement in God. As David if you find yourself in a challenging situation, and feel desperate and defeated ask God for guidance.
Don’t plan for things without consulting God. He has a plan to deal with your problem, destroy the enemy and give you back what the enemy has stolen.
Even if the circumstances look impossible restoration is possible. When you go through painful and pressurized moments don’t run to your friends and neighbors for suggestions and solutions.
Take it to the Lord in prayer. Ask Him the strength to do everything according to His perfect will. God is the God of restoration and compassion. He will not only restore, but make everything better than all you could ever ask for or imagine.
May God give you the grace and favor to pursue, to overtake and recover all that you have lost.
God bless you! Have a Blessed month!
