Your Time Is In God’s Hands
Scripture Text: My times are in your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies, from those who pursue me. Psalms 31 :15
Our life, is in our heavenly Father’s hand.
Though David faced many tiresome and scary days in his life, he says his times are in God’s hand. He had, by faith, committed them all to God.
Into your hands I commit my spirit; deliver me, Lord, my faithful God. v 5
When Jesus died on the cross, He quoted this scripture, “Into your hands I commit my spirit.”
When we read from verse 9 to 14, David says, he is in distress and filled with sorrow and grief. He feels ignored and compares himself to a broken pot. He is scorned by his enemies and despised by his neighbors. Even his friends abandoned him and were afraid to come near him. His enemies conspired against him and were plotting to take his life.
When we feel insecure, some of us seek security in money, police, a strong friend or family member for safety. But the psalmist looks to God for refuge, security and protection.
But I trust in you, Lord; I say, “You are my God.” V14
During these highly uncertain and gloomy days we feel threatened and extremely scary.
You may be experiencing in your life, a sense of abandonment, betrayal, despair and anger. But remember that your times and your life are in God’s hand.
Job knew that his times was in God’s Hands.
In Job 14: 5 we read, “A person’s days are determined; you have decreed the number of his months and have set limits he cannot exceed.”
In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind. Job 12 :10
He is our rock and refuge, for this day and every day.
Do you feel like your life is falling apart? Are you dissatisfied and unhappy because people despise and ignore you? Does your enemy plot evil against you all day?
“Your life is in God’s Hands.” Well, that’s a wonderful thing isn’t it?
From the very moment you were fashioned in your mother’s womb, your entire life is in his hands.
Declare boldly, “I am not worried for my life is in His powerful hands.”
Let us be confident like David, “But I trust you…”
When your health is failing, remember your life is in His hands.
When the hands of your enemies are against you and you feel abandoned, weak and weary, know that your life is in His hands.
Commit every circumstances into His hands and pray this prayer today: “I trust in you, Lord; I say, ‘You are my God.’ My times are in your hands.”
God bless you!
